Description

In the countryside surrounding Castiglione della Pescaia, between hills and valleys dominated by the Mediterranean scrub, one of the most important medieval monasteries of Maremma is the Hermitage of San Guglielmo di Malavalle. The ancient building linked to the mystical-religious figure of the medieval Saint Guglielmo, traditionally identified as William of Aquitaine, who lived in the 11th Century, still retains its layout within the church and the functional environments for monastic life.

The trekking, in the company of an expert archaeologist and guide, will be full of nature and adventure animated by stories and legends related to the sacred and the profane, which have always characterized these lands and still echo today among the woods and its ruins.
