The Cork Tree Garden is a late 19th Century farmhouse surrounded by greenery near the forest, among olive trees, cork oaks, and aromatic plants. It has been renovated with completely natural products, following the ethics of non-waste For the masonry, organic, antibacterial and anti-mold limestone was chosen. Equipped with a photovoltaic system and rainwater recovery plan, with special purification systems, all with the aim of safeguarding and respect for the environment.
Because wellness can also be served via sight and touch, we chose hypoallergenic and neutral colors for both the walls and the furnishings, choosing paints with no added silicone and fabrics such as pure linen or other natural fibers for curtains, blankets and towels. The farmhouse was designed with handmade furnishings by an artisan who has updated the style of the old Maremma.
The rooms are comfortable and relaxing, neutral in colors and materials.
Each room has its own bathroom, a very large shower with relaxation jet and a window overlooking the panorama. The countryside furniture of the past is revisited with pastel colors and are hand decorated by local artisans.
The common room and the equipped kitchen become a sharing place where you can prepare snacks and simple meals to enjoy in your preferred corner of the house. Coffee, tea and cappuccinos are available at any time of the day or night. At our guests' disposal is a small library with books in Italian, English, and German.
The Cork Tree Garden is a living garden on several levels: tables and deckchairs immersed in plants, located throughout the garden; to each guest, his own privacy and peaceful corner. Walk on the warm earth, listen to cicadas, crickets and the rustle of the wind. The view is lost in the Maremman scrub, the sense of smell between the aromatic herbs and the sea breeze.
Two swimming pools outside: one with salt water and whirlpool and one with sterilized water with no chlorine, only salt.
