Beautiful trekking on the ancient Via Francigena that connects San Quirico d’Orcia to Bagno Vignoni. We will be able to admire the beautiful landscapes on the Val D’Orcia (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and visit Bagno Vignoni and the Parco Dei Mulini.

Description

In the Middle Ages, thousands of pilgrims reached Rome every year to see the tombs of the apostles Peter and Paul.

We will take you to walk on the same path they traveled in one of the most scenic and exciting stretches. In fact, from the town of San Quirico d’Orcia after visiting the beautiful Romanesque church with its three access portals, we will leave for Bagno Vignoni, a village known worldwide for its elegant central square occupied by a large medieval basin overlooked by Renaissance buildings and the Loggia of Saint Catherine of Siena.

During the journey, half in the woods and half in the open countryside, we will admire the extraordinary views of the Val d’Orcia, whose beauty is declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and once we arrive we will visit Bagno Vignoni and the protected area of the Parco Dei Mulini, which served as one of the principal grain mills of the Siena area until the 1950s.
