A mysterious, silent and suggestive trek that connects the ancient Etruscan-Roman city of Vitozza with the town of Sorano, City of Tuff, which has been on the list of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy since 2003.
Vitozza, one of the largest rock settlements in Italy, consisting of caves, Etruscan columbariums and the remains of a Medieval village. Among the 200 caves of various shapes and sizes, there are other rooms on two floors connected by a still accessible staircase. Some of the caves were still inhabited until 1783.
Once we have visited the caves of the rocky settlement of Vitozza, we will set out for the path called "Il Primitivo" which passes through the valley of the "La Lente" River. After having walked the "Via Cava", we will reach the "Porta dei Merli di Sorano", also called the "Porta di Sotto".
